I am an educator with more than 18 years experience in traditional public schools and charter schools. I have had the opportunity to teach in elementary and middle schools in addition to serving as a Dean of Students, Dean of Academics, and Assistant Principal. My passion lies in serving students and families to provide them with the best education possible for each child. I am a first generation college student who can speak directly to the challenges of navigating institutions that are not designed to serve all equitably. A major focus of my work is to implement culturally responsive practices in schools and to change the current systems of discipline in schools to support children through restorative processes.
