The Food Research & Action Center is presenting a COVID-19 grant opportunity from our partners at the Albertsons Companies Foundation to increase participation in the Summer Nutrition Programs. FRAC serves on the advisory council for Nourishing Neighbors (formerly known as Hunger Is), a program of the Albertsons Companies Foundation and encourages you to apply for these grants if you need additional support for your summer nutrition program.

Summer Meals Grant Opportunity
Nourishing Neighbors (formerly known as Hunger Is), an initiative of the Albertsons Companies Foundation, has established a fund to help local families impacted by the current crisis. This new opportunity is specifically aimed at increasing participation in, and access to, the Summer Meals Programs this summer. Intermediary organizations, sponsors, and schools can apply for funding.
Programs eligible for funding can include (but are not limited to):
- Food purchasing
- Temporary Hires to make up for lack of volunteers
- Technical Assistance
- Equipment, PPE, and packaging
