CAPS: Connecting, Asking, Participating, and Speaking Up

CAPS (Connecting, Asking, Participating, and Speaking Up) is a student-created initiative that includes brief activities and lessons focusing on Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs (ATOD). In 2013, Jeffco Public Schools high school students were asked what information pertaining to health they wanted to know more about. The students overwhelmingly selected these topics as a major concern.

In response, SHAC developed four activities and lessons to complement the SHAC-created, video “Just Say Know.”  The resources can be found at the top left of the Kaiser webpage. The video and activities can be used as stand-alone lessons or in a sequence. However, we suggest watching “Just Say Know” before moving to the activities.
