SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) is an international peer-to-peer educational organization dedicated to promoting the health, wellness, and safety of youth. It helps students and youth organizations form chapters and provides resources for those chapters to develop their own voice for positive behaviors and raising awareness to combat risky behaviors that can negatively impact youths, their families, and their communities. From driver safety awareness, to bullying, to vaping, mental health, and more – the range of issues on which SADD chapters may focus is wide!
SADD is a membership organization and may serve as community service/service learning. It’s appeal stems from being a student-led/student-run activity that may be a stand alone group, or it may be combined with other organizations within a school – allowing affiliation with an existing club with a similar mission (STUCO, Theatre, NHS…) and eliminating additional staffing or time commitments.
