The Center School District serves youth and families in the Center community in southern Colorado in the San Luis Valley. Our district vision is: "The Center Schools Community seeks to develop independent, self directed, self motivated, adventurous, risk taking, experiential learners armed with the skills necessary to meet the challenges they will face in the 21st Century." The Center Positive Youth Development (CPYD) team supports the district mission as a part of the school district. It's mission is "Working together to foster an environment that empowers all youth with the needed supports that develop the whole person allowing them to be successful academically, to embrace their identity, to take advantage of opportunities, and to contribute positively in society." This group provides wrap around services both during the day and after school to Center youth and families that include interventions focused on the whole child.
