As a student in the MAT-PEPAL program through UNC, we had the opportunity to participate in the UNC Summer PAL Academy as the P.E. instructors. This summer program lasted two weeks. We were given the option to live on campus or commute. The first week consisted of classroom work. We were in class from 8 AM to 4 PM each day preparing lessons, doing group work and learning different techniques to gather and analyze data. This was intense, but worth the time. The second week was the camp.
