Colorado Safe Routes to School Grant Opportunities

Colorado SRTS (CSRTS) offers grant funding through a statewide competitive application. Look for applications on the website every August of even numbered years. Both infrastructure (built environments) and non-infrastructure (education, enforcement, & encouragement) projects are available for funding. The goal of CSRTS is to enable and encourage children, including those with disabilities, to use active transportation (biking and walking) to travel to and from school and to make it safe and appealing. When students walk or bike to school, the benefits include increased physical activity, improved traffic safety, better air quality, enhance personal safety, long-term cost saving, and greater student academic achievement. Let us help you get more students walking and bicycling to and from school safely.
